This presentation highlights the transformative role of airborne natural-field electromagnetics in modern mineral exploration, focusing on the MobileMT system introduced to the geophysics market in 2018. By utilizing naturally occurring electromagnetic fields rather than a controlled primary source, MobileMT provides a broad depth of investigation from near surface to 1–2 km or more, depending on subsurface conductance, while maintaining sensitivity across a wide resistivity range from highly resistive to strongly conductive environments. Its ability to detect geoelectrical boundaries in all directions makes it a versatile tool for a wide range of deposit types, including epithermal and orogenic gold, IOCG, nickel, VMS, pegmatites, uranium, and porphyry systems. Supported by field examples, the presentation demonstrates how MobileMT has become an effective and flexible exploration technology capable of improving subsurface imaging and advancing mineral discovery in diverse geological settings.
