Expert Geophysics Presents MobileMT Survey Insights to Support Geothermal Development in Taiwan

Expert Geophysics Surveys Inc. visited the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)(工業技術研究院, 工研院) in Taiwan to present recent results from its MobileMT airborne magnetotelluric survey supporting geothermal exploration in Yilan County. The work aligns with Taiwan’s national plan to accelerate geothermal resource assessment and development using modern, high-resolution subsurface imaging. The MobileMT system provides deep resistivity mapping that improves the identification of geothermal reservoirs, fault zones, and fluid pathways. The presentation to ITRI contributes to Taiwan’s ongoing efforts to expand reliable, low-carbon geothermal energy.
