Job duties

• Perform production, maintenance, and fabrication tasks following a combination of verbal and written directions, using standard hand tools and power tools
• Produce high quality prototype parts and consistent production parts by using precision tools and producing custom tools and jigs where necessary
• Be familiar with the use of standard hand, power and pneumatic tools
• Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation
• Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and orderly working environment

Requirements

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanically inclined
• G license in good standing
• Knowledge and understanding of basic hand tools and measurement principles
• Comfortable with working in Imperial and Metric systems
• Good hand eye coordination
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a steady pace
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience working with standard Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Asset qualifications

• Experience interpreting schematics and drawings
• Experience with metal work, woodwork, fiberglass
• Knowledge of CAD software
• Forklift operator license (must be able to obtain license once employed)
• Experience in warehouse setting
• Experience driving light duty trailers especially with electronic brakes

Compensation

This position offers a salary range of $21.00 to $26.00 per hour. While the full range is posted for transparency, our target hiring rate for this role is typically at the midpoint of the range. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, education and relevant experience as they relate to the role.
